DEVELOPING THAT INTENSE DESIRE

The first step in the accomplishment of a worthwhile goal is to CREATE A BURNING, INTENSE DESIRE for its achievement.
This is what we learned early on with our careers in MLM.
The intense desire accounts for the fact that some people are able to blow through an obstacle thrown in front of them while others with the same opportunities fall to the obstacles and give up on their dreams and goals. They stop TWO FEET FROM GOLD!

Lets take two people with the exact same talents and abilities and both of them set the same goal, who do you think will reach the goal?
It’s obvious that the person with the stronger DESIRE will accomplish the goal. WHY? Because that person is focused! You have to focus on the desired result and not on any obstacle that may arise and obstacles will arise. Where we fail in our goals is when we focus on the obstacle, thinking about obstacles or potential obstacles and not the end result will always lead to inactivity and a sense of hopelessness.

This is the main reason why people never set goals in the first place. You can’t say things like: “I don’t have enough money” or “I’m too old to begin” or “Nobody makes money in these things so why should I try”. This is what we should call STINKING THINKING. It robs you of your God given destiny which is to prosper.

Here is a quote from one of the most inspiring books I’ve ever read entitled “The Secret of the Ages” by Robert Collier. The general rule regarding desire is as follows:

“The degree of force, energy, will, determination, persistence and continuous application manifested by a individual in his aspirations, aims, performances, actions and work is determined primarily by the degree of ‘want’ and ‘want to’ concerning that object”.

Think about that.
It is important to note that desire

is more than just a want or wish for something. A mere want for something is weak and does not move you to ACTION. True desire, on the other hand allows you to overcome an adversity or obstacle thrust in your path. Intense desire is a FORCE to be reckoned with!

Sometimes that desire has to be almost unbearable! Reminds me of the story of a man that wanted the secrets of life and it goes like this, he went to a wise man and asked him to teach them to him….
The wise man led him to the lake and invited him to walk into the lake with him. Wanting the secrets the man did as the wise man requested.
To his surprise the wise man plunged his head under water and held it there, held it there until the man almost drowned. Pretty radical true, but the words from the wise man once he allowed the man to surface and breath makes all the sense in the world.

The man argued that all he wanted was the secrets and the wise man tried to drown him, the wise man smiled and said, when your desire for knowledge equals the desire you had for your next breath of air equal each other, then come and ask me again.

WOW I will agree that it is a really radical way to explain it, but let me ask you, HOW BAD DO YOU WANT SUCCESS WITH YOUR BUSINESS?

When you have a true desire you create within you a certain restlessness and aggressiveness that will energize you and propel you to unbelievable action.
Desire causes you to work harder and eventually reach that goal. And that feeling is unbelievable!
When you have TRUE DESIRE, you…make commitments while others flounder and make excuses.
When you have TRUE DESIRE you continue on in spite of obstacles and shortcomings.

Here is how you can develop a burning intense desire:
• KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT
• WANT IT HARD ENOUGH
• EXPECT TO ATTAIN IT
• PERSISTENTLY DETERMINE TO ATTAIN IT
• AND THE MOST IMPORTANT, BE WILLING TO PAY THE PRICE FOR ITS ATTAINMENT.

In short; know, want, expect, be persistent and determined and most of all BE WILLING!

Success is not free. A price will be paid. But you will pay a much higher price in the long run by not pursuing your dreams.
Arouse your desire by creating mental pictures representing the outcome of your goals. THE STRONGER AND CLEARER THE PICTURE, THE MORE INTENSE WILL BE YOUR DESIRE. When you intensely visualize your success, nothing…NOTHING can stop you. Visualize and think about your goals morning, noon and night until you want that goal just as the man wanted that breath of air…

Is it worth it? Only you can answer that, but for me I say, “You’re damn right it’s worth it”…Be blessed, be happy and prosper…ned
